We always thank God for all of you and continually mention you in our prayers. We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 1:2-3

There is so much to be thankful for during this time of Thanksgiving. To top the list, we are so very thankful for YOU – our faithful volunteers, donors and staff. A year ago, we recognized our volunteers at a special evening event. Covid19 prevents that this year, but please know that we celebrate you all every day and thank God for your gifts and your servant hearts. We could not run the ministry effectively without our amazing staff, our generous donors and our committed volunteers – lawn crew, budgeting advisor, parenting mentors, and many more of you who give unselfishly of your time and talent.

The families at TJH are doing well and thriving. It is a joy to see how stable housing and support allows them to move forward in becoming independent. Please continue to pray for wisdom as we discern the appropriate guests from the many applicants for TJH.

For those of you who would like to support TJH in this season of giving, here is a list of items some of our guests have requested for Christmas. If you feel led to provide any of these, you can just drop them off Monday through Friday 8:30-3:00 at 75 Albemarle Ave in Mineral. We are also always in need of paper products, food wraps (baggies, foil, etc.) and staples like flour, sugar, etc.

December 1st is GivingTuesday! Please consider donating to The Journey Home on this special day for generosity. GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. It was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past seven years, it has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

We are grateful to God for all He is accomplishing at The Journey Home. One of His amazing provisions is lots of sunshine for our solar panels. We are pleased to report that they are producing more energy than TJH needs, so we are banking some credits for the winter. Praise God for all the ways He continues to provide!

Have a Blessed Thanksgiving,
Debby
